How it Works

The Programming Developers Dream

.NET allows different applications and different operating systems to communicate through the use of Common Language Runtime (CLR). Microsoft .NET compiles programing languages such as VB, C#, and C++ into integrated language codes (IL). This IL code is then transformed into .NETs common language runtime (CLR). Once the code is converted into CLR, it is compatible with native code and able to run on any Operating System Service (Bodnar 5).
